Corrosion Testing
Corrosion Testing

Corrosion is defined as corrosive attack dominated by uniform thinning. There are several types of corrosion such as localized corrosion, metallurgical influenced corrosion, mechanically assisted degradation, environmentally induced corrosion/or cracking.

Lucid is capable of conducting the tests as per ASTM, IS, BIS, JIS, etc. Regularly we undertake tests on galvanized parts, coated parts on metals, alloys and polymer.

In addition stress corrosion cracking when exposed environmental conditions can be evaluated.

  Specific Examples:
  • Salt Spray corrosion
  • Inter-granular Corrosion Test
  • Chloride Stress Corrosion Test
  • Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) Test
  • Sulphide Stress Corrosion Cracking Test
  • Embitterment
  • Pitting Corrosion Test
  • Mould growth test
  • Corrosion Cracking Testing of Metals (SCC) and Plastics (ESC)
  • Heat & Fluid Aging
  • Dezincification Testing of Brasses
  • Residual and Assembly Stress Testing of Copper Alloys
  • Sensitization Testing of Austenitic and Ferritic Stainless Steels
  • Passivation Testing of Medical Components
